EU mediates Russia, Ukraine gas dispute talks

BRUSSELS, Dec 9 (Reuters) - EU officials are mediating

between Ukraine and Russia over gas supplies on Friday, their

first talks since the former Soviet republic stopped buying gas

from Gazprom last November.
