Monsoon rains cover half of India; to accelerate sowing

MUMBAI, June 20 (Reuters) - Indian monsoon rains have

covered nearly half of the country, the weather department said

on Monday, accelerating planting of summer crops like paddy

rice, soybeans, cotton and pulses.
