UPDATE 1-Engie says Mestrallet's chairman salary will go to charity

PARIS, May 3 (Reuters) - French utility Engie

board chairman Gerard Mestrallet's 350,000 euro ($404,000)

salary will go to the Engie Foundation charity and Mestrallet

will carry out his new job for free, the company said.
